The Shell Channel Pilot
The Shell Channel Pilot has been the standard authority for the South Coast of England and the North Coast of France since the 1930s when Adlard Coles original pilot was first published. Over the years it has been continuously revised and improved, and this latest Imray edition has been rigorously re-worked. There are new introductory sections on the Channel, passage-making notes, illustrated pages on wildlife, and data about ferry routes. Port information has been extended to include Ushant (Ouessant). The sailing directions have been updated throughout, and in many instances expanded by the addition of more ground-level photographs. New aerial photographs are provided where required. Most of the pilotage directions have been re-written for this fifth edition, and the authors honest, accurate and inimitably entertaining view of what he has found ashore makes The Shell Channel Pilot an inspiration. Contents: Foreword; Introduction; 1. The English Coast; 2. The Channel Islands; 3. North Coast of France; Appendix |
