Rod and Lucinda have worked on many books together for over twenty years and live on the Isle of Wight when not out on the water in Skylax, their 46' New Zealand Warwick designed boat.

The Foundation is a charity which collects and researches written, photographic and chart information relating to small boat pilotage, navigation and operation, climate and weather conditions.

Roger has now has produced three editions of this popular book.

Dinah and Trevor Thompson are the authors of Adriatic Pilot, first published by Imray in 1986 and now in its eighth edition.

Stephen was in the Royal Navy and then the Royal Marines before working at the University of Hong Kong as a lecturer. Elaine Morgan joined him there as a librarian before they both started their writing about boating careers. They're currently working on a new edition of Red Sea Pilot, due for publication in spring 2024.

Dick has a 36’ shoal-draught Moody tucked away in a mud berth at Conyer in Kent. He started writing late in life, too, and was recruited by John Goode at Sailing Today magazine before being headhunted on to the East Coast Pilot project.

Tom is a worldwide authority on cruising sailing and an expert on traditional sailing craft, he learnt his skills during numerous ocean passages, often in low-fi boats without engines or electronics, voyaging from Brazil to Greenland and from the Caribbean to Russia.

Garth sails a Contest 33. With Dick Holness, he is co-author of East Coast Pilot and is the new author of North Sea Passage Pilot.

Nick has been cruising for over 30 years in western Europe and always finds himself back in Brittany.

One of Scotland's leading sailing organisations, and it has published Sailing Directions for Scottish waters since its inception in 1909, first as the well known Blue Book which was published in ten editions until 1974 and latterly in five separate volumes.

Chris has spent much of his life living on or near the River Great Ouse and is a knowledgeable enthusiast for the area.
